Losing weight is not easy at all and it seems that very few actually succeed with it. Not only does permanent weight loss seem very hard, but the process of losing weight is often very unhealthy and torture really. When you lose weight, then you should become more healthy, but a lot of the times it is the other way around. Most people make a lot of progress in the first 3-4 weeks, but then the progress slows down. Cutting calories is the most widely used method for achieving weight loss success. It can work very well, but only up to a point. If your calories are already very low, then cutting them even more, can lead to negative results. But if your calorie intake is moderate, then you eating less, is an option you can try. People always tend to slash their calories to very low levels and that always backfires.

Eating healthy and eating food that promote fat loss, is of course essential. It is not easy to change your eating habits. Everyone has bad eating habits and even fitness models sometimes eat foods, they should not eat. So you can`t expect to eat “perfectly” all the time. The problem is that most people can`t maintain their healthy eating for very long. One of the best ways to make sure you can maintain your new and improved eating habits, is to allow yourself a “cheat” meal every now and them. Allow yourself a slice of pizza or a bar of chocolate once a week. That way the cravings for junk foods can be kept under control.

It is well known that eating 5-6 smaller meals a day, is much more effective than eating 3 larger meals a day. Small, frequent meals greatly increase the metabolic rate and a fast metabolism helps you burn more calories. If you are eating 3 meals a day, then try eating 4 meals or 5 meals, if you can. It is also very important to eat regularly and not skip meals. When you skip meals, then it slows your metabolism right down. And eating 5-6 smaller meals a day, is also mentally much easier, because you eat after every 3-4 hours.

There are of course much more healthy tips for losing weight, but these should help you out, at least a little. I guess the main thing is not to get frustrated, if you can`t lose 20 pounds in 20 days. Weight loss must be taken as a long term endeavor and the changes you make to your lifestyle, must be permanent.
